Chapter 41: Almost there!

Cage raised his stiff neck and looked at the Creature that blocked the sun, its face obscured.

At this moment, he felt as if he saw a terrifying and evil existence that overshadowed the sun, bringing darkness and despair.

The next second, this terrifying and evil existence extended another claw and picked up Cage.

Godzilla sniffed Cage's scent, and its Eyes lit up.

That's the scent!

No other Creature had this scent except Individuals with fused human and Alpha blood!

Of course, Rita also had this scent, but Rita's blood was diluted and was deemed a human by Omega, no longer an Alpha.

Therefore, she also lost the ability to reset time.

Godzilla held Cage in its palm, then turned and walked towards the sea.

It wasn't until Godzilla's figure completely disappeared into the sea that humans came back to their senses.

They still didn't understand what kind of Creature Godzilla was, or what it came for.

As for the Alien creatures, it was even simpler; they didn't care about anything else, their slaughter of humans never stopped for a moment.

Above the sea, Cage allowed Godzilla to hold him.

He had composed himself and thoroughly calmed down.

Now, he was analyzing his situation.

He was undoubtedly captured by the monster.

And it seemed this monster didn't intend to eat him; it seemed to want to take him somewhere.

He didn't know anything more.

Cage didn't shout, fearing the monster would become impatient and crush him to death.

He allowed himself to be held by this monster.

He was also very curious where this monster intended to take him.

Godzilla's speed was very fast; Cage could feel the strong wind blowing in his face, making it sting.

But compared to the wind, there was an even more urgent matter: the sun above his head was too scorching!

Exposed to the sun without any protection, Cage felt that if he continued like this, he would become dehydrated before long.

At this moment, Cage actually lost control over the way he was going to die.

He didn't know if he would die from dehydration first, or be killed by the monster.

As time passed, the sun set, and the moon rose.

Cage had been exposed to the sun all day, and when the moon rose, he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

At least, it felt a little better.

Of course, only a little.

To be honest, he had been holding in his urine for a long time, but he didn't dare to release it.

Urinating on the claws of such a terrifying monster, he would surely be crushed to death.

Although he wasn't afraid of death, he wasn't willing to die before he figured out why this monster had captured him.

Aside from the water in his bladder, his entire body was in pain.

Held in the monster's claws for a day, coupled with the scorching sun, he felt like he could die suddenly at any moment.

Several more hours passed, and in a daze, Cage saw Land.

Wait, Land!?

Cage suddenly became much more alert.

If the monster's direction hadn't changed, then the place this monster was heading was enemy territory!

What was this monster doing on this continent, which had long been occupied by Alien creatures? And why was it holding him?

Puzzled, Cage watched the monster make landfall.

He moved from the monster's claws to its tail.

Cage was stuck to the top of the tail, feeling as if he were glued to a flypaper, firmly attached to the monster's tail and unable to move.

Cage stared blankly at the shining stars above his head.

After this continent fell, all human creations had fallen into disrepair.

The Cities that humans were so proud of had also become ruins.

Cities that were once brightly lit even at night had lost their radiance.

And without this light pollution, the starry sky above Cage's head became incredibly brilliant.

But Cage currently had no mood to appreciate this rare starry sky; he was already exerting all his strength just to stay conscious.

But then again, there were so many meteors today.

These meteors were incredibly clear, and they were getting closer and closer, closer and closer — Cage's Eyes suddenly widened.

Those weren't meteors at all; they were attacks from Alien creatures!

The next moment, countless streams of light filled Cage's vision.

He didn't know how many Alien creatures had attacked this monster.

But one thing was certain: every Alien Creature that could see this monster had launched an attack!

Facing the attacks descending from the sky, Godzilla merely curled its tail slightly, protecting Cage to prevent him from dying now.

Godzilla, meanwhile, ran towards Omega's location, as perceived by its senses.

To speed up, Godzilla even ran on all fours.

Under Godzilla's full-speed run, in less than half an hour, Godzilla had already reached its target location.

Omega's hiding place!

Whether it was the surrounding buildings or the pyramid-shaped structure, Godzilla swatted them all away with a single claw.

Then it quickly dug at the ground with both claws.

With just two swipes, the entire patch of ground was torn up by Godzilla.

And Godzilla finally saw Omega's true form.

Seeing this, Godzilla finally revealed a hint of a smile.

That expressionless beast-face also showed its owner's joy.

Godzilla picked up Omega, preparing to eat it in one bite.

But what Godzilla didn't see was that not far from him, two Creatures, different from the other Alien creatures, behaved strangely.

These two Individuals, noticeably larger than the other Alien creatures, entwined two tentacles into a spiral shape, then fiercely stabbed them towards each other's heads.

And they were Alphas!

Before Godzilla could even put Omega into its mouth, the familiar sensation struck again.

Godzilla's Eyes blurred, and it returned to the starting point.

"—"

"—"

A long silence.

Godzilla silently floated to the surface of the sea.

He looked at the sun above, emitting infinite heat, and felt the rage in his heart was like that sun, wanting to burn everything!

It was just that close!

Just that little bit!

He would have killed Omega and ended this boring time loop.

But why did time reset again at the very end!?

What was going on?

Although Cage's condition didn't look good, he wouldn't die anytime soon.

Godzilla was sure of this.

So, an Alpha must have died.

And it happened precisely when Godzilla was about to kill Omega?

How could such a coincidence be possible!?
