Chapter 43: Panic
“Pfft~”
Cage didn’t know how many times he had suddenly opened his eyes.
But this time, he was incredibly confused.
He had guessed that he might gain something after being caught by Godzilla, but he hadn't expected the gain to be so surprising.
Although Godzilla’s tail protected him, preventing him from seeing everything happening around him.
Just from the commotion, he knew that Godzilla must have stirred up the Alien creatures’ nest.
The Alien creatures’ attacks had truly not stopped for a single moment!
From the moment Godzilla appeared and rushed towards Omega’s location, Godzilla was bathed in artillery fire.
The explosions on his body never stopped burning!
Cage even felt like he was going to be cooked alive.
Because of Godzilla’s curling tail, the Alien creatures mistakenly thought the tail was Godzilla’s weakness, causing the tail to endure attacks second only to Godzilla’s limbs.
There was no other way; after realizing their attacks weren’t breaking through, the Alien creatures changed their strategy, hoping to injure Godzilla’s limbs to stop him from advancing.
But clearly, that was useless.
What truly confused Cage was a consciousness that suddenly entered his mind just before the time reset.
To call it consciousness, it was actually a vague command.
Perhaps because he had been tormented for a day, coupled with the artillery fire and the large amount of radiation emitted from Godzilla's body, Cage's mind was already very muddled, so he only remembered a general idea.
It seemed to be telling him to commit suicide!?
Wait, suicide!!!
Cage suddenly realized, was this time reset precisely when that command appeared?
And was there a possibility that this command wasn’t for him, but for Alpha?
Considering Godzilla’s bizarre actions along the way, and the Alien creatures' non-stop, frantic attacks.
Cage thought of a possibility.
Could it be that *there* was Omega’s true location?
Thinking about it that way, it was indeed possible!
So, Cage skillfully snuck out, found Rita, explained everything to her, and then found Dr. Carter.
Dr. Carter fell into a long silence after hearing Cage’s words.
The overwhelming information almost set his brain on fire.
After a while, he began to analyze the situation.
“If what you say is correct, then that giant Alien Predator is even more terrifying than we imagined.”
“And Cage’s speculation is not without reason.”
“Although Cage ‘saw’ Omega’s location, we cannot rule out the possibility that the Alien Creature possesses the ability to determine Omega’s hiding place.”
At this point, even Dr. Carter started to get a headache.
Theoretically, Cage could use his own Alpha blood to find out Omega’s hiding place.
But the location found by that Alien Predator could also very likely be Omega’s hiding place.
After all, the reset happened the very next second after that command appeared in Cage’s mind; it was too much of a coincidence.
It was very likely that the Alien Predator had pushed Omega to a dead end, forcing it to protect itself through this method of time reset.
But if that were truly the case, it would not be good news for them.
Not to mention that Cage, due to his poor condition, couldn’t pinpoint Omega’s exact location.
But even if it were confirmed, the difficulty for them to kill Omega would skyrocket!
Because once Omega sensed danger, it could instantly control Alpha to commit suicide to protect itself through a time reset!
This was not only thought of by Dr. Carter, but Cage and Rita also realized it.
But even so, they had to find a way to kill Omega.
Whether it was to save the world or to escape this endless loop!
“Before we act, we must first confirm which is Omega’s true hiding place: the location Cage saw, or the location the Alien Predator led Cage to.”
So, Dr. Carter told Cage and Rita about a device he had once made, which was theoretically capable of deepening the connection between Alpha and Omega.
He had made that tool when he first proposed the existence of Alpha and Omega.
He had originally thought it would never be used.
After all, they had never captured an Alpha Individual, and no one had ever agreed with his theory.
Therefore, he had only made a prototype.
If nothing went wrong, that tool should now be lying in a safe.
And Cage was very familiar with the owner of that safe.
Because it was that person who sent him to the military camp, made him go to the battlefield, and then accidentally got Alpha’s blood on him, thereby gaining the ability to experience time loops.
General Brigham!
Therefore, they had to first find General Brigham, then persuade him to open the safe and give them that tool.
Only then could they use that tool to find out Omega’s true location!
Finding General Brigham and meeting him was not difficult.
The difficult part was how to persuade General Brigham to give them that tool.
But no matter how difficult the matter, Cage and Rita decided to try.
Anyway, he could perform time resets; trying multiple times would eventually succeed!
After an unknown number of failures, Cage and Rita finally met General Brigham.
“Major Cage, if I’m not mistaken, you should be at the military camp right now.”
General Brigham was very puzzled to see Cage and Rita.
He knew both of them: one a coward, the other an invincible Valkyrie who had killed countless Alien creatures.
How did these two get together?
General Brigham discreetly prepared to press the alarm button under his desk.
“Listen, General, I know you might not believe what we’re saying, but everything we’re saying is true, and please don’t call anyone in yet, just for a moment, please listen to us first, okay?”
Cage spoke very humbly.
After finally meeting General Brigham, he didn't want to have to start all over again without even finishing a sentence.
But just as he was about to explain why he had come, the office door suddenly opened!
“General, something big has happened!”
A beautiful woman in military uniform burst through the door and said in a hurry.
“Don’t panic, what happened?!”
“General, a satellite has discovered a gigantic monster in the sea that emits blue beams of light!”
“What did you say!?”
The General rubbed his ears, thinking he had misheard.
Or was the person in front of him joking?
At this moment, Cage spoke.
“Madam, is the monster you’re talking about completely black, with red patterns under its wrinkled skin, a very long tail, three dorsal fins on its back, and at least a hundred meters tall?”
