Chapter 54: Take Back
Of course, there is another possibility: that Godzilla's G-cells were consumed by the infected Creature.
But if that were the case, Godzilla would have no choice but to destroy all these dangerous Creatures, leaving none alive!
This kind of Creature that could pose a threat to him was simply too dangerous; even if it meant destroying the entire planet, he would eradicate it completely!
In fact, if he didn't think the universe was too vast, and that even if Godzilla spent his entire life, he might not find other infected Creatures besides those on Earth, he would want to fly into the universe to hunt down these infected Creatures.
Who knew what these infected Creatures would evolve into if they kept mimicking other species? No one could tell.
If it could evolve to break through the cosmic barrier and arrive in Godzilla's universe, it would be a disaster for his world.
After all, the intelligence of these Creatures was genuinely not low.
With intelligence, combined with their special mimetic abilities, their growth potential was truly not low.
If given enough time to develop, they might even evolve specific abilities to counter him, becoming even more troublesome.
But then again, that spaceship carrying these Creatures should have recorded their origins and the coordinates of their home planet, right?
Godzilla looked at the iron box, which was making thumping sounds under his claw, and fell silent.
This—the spaceship had already been dismantled by him, how could he get the planetary coordinates?
Moreover, even if the spaceship hadn't been dismantled, he wouldn't know how to operate it.
With that thought, Godzilla felt much better.
After all, whether the spaceship was dismantled or not didn't make much difference.
In fact, dismantling the spaceship to create this iron box served a greater purpose.
For example, now, the iron box under Godzilla's claw had stopped vibrating, and it seemed the Creature inside had died.
However, Godzilla did not relax his vigilance and waited for another half an hour.
Under Godzilla's deliberate control, the G-cells inside the iron box seemed to divide very quickly; if nothing went wrong in such a short time, the space inside the iron box would now be filled with flesh proliferated by G-cells.
Although the wildly proliferating G-cells would become very inactive for a long time afterward, and their lifespan would be slightly lower than normal G-cells.
But this was unavoidable.
Godzilla shook the iron box and could feel a jelly-like substance inside, but he didn't know if it was G-cells or infected Creatures mimicking G-cells.
Godzilla exerted force with his claw and twisted the iron box.
The entire box immediately deformed.
Godzilla applied force again, creating a crack in the iron box, and bright red blood flowed out from the crack, spilling onto the icy ground.
This blood seemed to still carry warmth; when it dripped onto the ice-covered ground of Antarctica, it even melted a small amount of the surrounding solid ice.
But clearly, the temperature of this blood was not high enough to melt large areas of solid ice into water, like Godzilla could.
Not long after, this blood solidified due to the low external temperature.
Godzilla breathed a stream of fire onto the blood.
Initially, the blood showed no significant change when faced with the flames; it was only after several minutes that it slowly evaporated.
The surrounding solid ice had long since melted in the flames, and the evaporating blood left no trace.
The fact that the blood showed no initial change when faced with the flames did not surprise Godzilla.
After all, the temperature of the flames Godzilla emitted was not that high.
And Godzilla's blood could still survive for a long time in temperatures of several thousand degrees, only completely necrosing when it reached its critical point and all its energy was exhausted.
Therefore, it took several minutes of burning to evaporate.
If it were those mimetic Creatures, even if they could withstand high temperatures.
But several minutes of fiery death, they couldn't remain indifferent.
This was an instinctive reaction when facing death; they couldn't defy it.
Since there was no reaction, it now seemed that this blood was fine.
Or perhaps, his G-cells had already counter-consumed all those infected Creatures?
To know for sure, more experiments would be needed.
After all, his own life was at stake, so no amount of caution was too much!
And this time, Godzilla did not squeeze blood from the iron box but directly heated the iron box!
Godzilla blasted a stream of fire at the iron box in his claw.
Godzilla's claw firmly gripped the iron box, not wavering at all due to the high temperature of the flames.
In fact, this amount of heat was not enough to cause him pain.
However, the iron box in his claw might not fare as well.
As time passed, the iron box in Godzilla's claw began to turn red and showed signs of softening.
Even molten iron dripped down Godzilla's claw onto the water surface where he floated, making sizzling sounds.
Yet, despite this, there was still no movement inside the iron box.
Seeing that the iron box was about to completely melt, Godzilla stopped breathing fire and threw the iron box into the water.
Sizzle~
The almost-melted iron box rapidly cooled in the water, and its temperature had dropped completely in a short time.
Godzilla retrieved the iron box.
After a round of baking, this iron box no longer resembled its original form; it looked more like an ugly iron disc.
And it was an iron disc deformed by tongs.
Godzilla pried open this "iron disc," revealing a pitch-black substance inside.
That was carbonized flesh.
However, at the very center of this carbonized flesh, some cells still maintained their activity.
Godzilla carefully put it away.
Although its safety could already be confirmed, Godzilla was still a bit hesitant to use it.
So, Godzilla once again squeezed this "iron disc" back into an iron box, then placed the infected Creature from the culture jar inside, proliferated G-cells again, and then consumed it.
He performed the experiment several times in a row, and each time, without exception, the G-cells consumed the infected Creature.
This was good news for Godzilla, as it meant that consuming these infected Creatures was very safe, and he didn't have to worry about accidents.
It's worth mentioning that Godzilla initially thought all the infected Creatures in the culture jars were alive.
When Godzilla opened them one by one, he discovered that two of the infected Creatures had completely died.
It was unknown whether they died during the long passage of time or during the Alien creatures' research.
Godzilla burned the two dead infected Creature bodies, and then the G-cells that had consumed the infected Creatures were reabsorbed into his body.
