#362
Death Slash
"If we really did that, Asgard would have only one ending: destruction."
Hearing Great Serpent’s words, Odin shook his head. "Brother, just like Hela, you’ve been affected by your divine position."
Great Serpent was utterly disdainful. "Ridiculous. I am fear itself. How could a divine position affect me?"
Odin said nothing more. Just as someone dreaming would not know they were dreaming, those affected by their divine positions would not know they had been affected.
On the Inhuman Kingdom’s home planet, Hela sneered at Thor’s words. She swung the Night Sky Sword fiercely, and a hundred-meter-long Death Sword descended from the sky, stabbing viciously toward Thor with a pitch-black spatial rift.
"Whether you die or not is for me to decide, not you."
Facing the Death Giant Sword, Thor’s expression turned incomparably grave. He raised Stormbreaker, gathered the power of thunder, and prepared to fight the giant sword with his life.
At that moment, a holy white giant sword, as dazzling as the sun, shot diagonally down from above. It pierced through the Death Giant Sword, then crashed to the ground with it, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.
When the dust settled, a giant crater over a thousand meters wide had appeared. The buildings and ground that had once stood there had all vanished. Fortunately, the residents had already been evacuated, or countless people would have died.
Looking at the two figures flying over, Hela sneered. "I thought you two would keep hiding on the sidelines."
"We wanted to intervene earlier, but when I saw you beating Thor up, I had Skye wait a little longer before making a move."
Little Hela smiled. "By the way, Hela, did you skip a meal today? Why are your attacks so weak?"
"Hela, why are you just like Loki? Why do you keep screwing me over every day?"
Thor was deeply dissatisfied. Other people got screwed over by their fathers; why did his younger brother and sister always screw over their older brother?
"Younger brother."
Little Hela corrected him first, then asked, "Can you still fight?"
"Of course I can. Thor of Asgard will never be defeated. Ah…"
Thor had only gotten halfway through his declaration when the giant wolf Fenrir slammed him flying. He skidded endlessly across the ground. Thor flew into a rage, raised his axe, and charged at Fenrir. He might not be able to beat Hela, but could he not beat this mangy wolf?
Fenrir rushed forward with a ferocious expression. It was a creature of death. As long as Hela did not die, neither would it, so it feared nothing.
"A Husky fighting Fenrir?"
Little Hela rolled her eyes. "Since that’s the case, Hela, the three of us will fight you together and let you see the graduation gift Master gave us."
"Hela, even though you are also me, you are no match for me. You are far beneath me."
Hela snorted coldly. "Especially since you were stupid enough to completely abandon Death Power."
"Death Power is yours, not mine. My power is Light Power."
Little Hela spread her arms, and boundless light bloomed from her body like a tiny sun. Yet her radiance was not dazzling. Instead, it made people feel warm and comfortable.
Hela was somewhat astonished. "Such powerful Light Power? How is that possible? The Light Dragon cannot be this powerful."
Little Hela said with a broad smile, "It isn’t the Light Dragon. Master gave me a Heart of God, a complete Heart of God."
"A complete Heart of God? Master really is generous."
Hela looked displeased. She could not be bothered with more nonsense. Raising the Night Sky Sword high, she summoned countless dense black swords into the sky, all aimed at Little Hela and Skye. There had to be tens of thousands of them.
Little Hela raised her right hand as well, and an unending sea of white swords appeared in the sky, no fewer than Hela’s black swords.
Skye laughed. "Wow, this really does look like a battle between fellow disciples."
"You want to clash with me? Hela, you really are stupid."
Hela sneered and swung the Night Sky Sword fiercely. Tens of thousands of black swords surged toward Little Hela and Skye. Sonic booms rang out continuously, and fierce winds instantly swept through the area, even blowing houses down.
"If I’m stupid, doesn’t that mean you’re stupid too?"
Little Hela snorted and waved her hand. Tens of thousands of white swords shot forth with shrill whistles. Unlike the black swords, the white swords made little commotion, but they affected space, causing vast amounts of Space Power to cling to them.
Immediately afterward, the black and white swords battled fiercely in the air like two armies. The sky was filled with whistling and explosions, more intense than a clash between two fleets.
Although Little Hela possessed the Heart of God, she had only just obtained it and had not fully refined it. Her strength was still far inferior to Hela’s. Before long, all the white swords were destroyed, while a third of the black swords remained and continued whistling toward Little Hela.
Skye stepped forward and pushed out with her hand. Layers upon layers of spatial vibrations swept outward, shattering every black sword in their path.
"Skye, this time, I won’t let you escape again."
Hela said, and Skye replied, "This time, I don’t need to escape. Take this, junior sister."
As she spoke, Skye rapidly absorbed the planet’s vibration power. The surrounding void began vibrating madly at an astonishing frequency—this was Skye’s planet, so absorbing vibration power was much easier here than on other planets.
"Is that so?"
Hela sneered. Rune-light flashed in her eyes as she casually slashed her sword. Skye sensed an immense threat and immediately vibrated the void to retreat. The next moment, the void split open with a huge gash that refused to heal for a long time.
"How can it be this strong?"
Skye looked shocked. Below, the Husky—cough, cough, Thor—who was fighting Fenrir, shouted, "That move again! Be careful! It looks ordinary, but its power is unbelievably great!"
"It is not that its power is great. It can cut down everything. This move is a Concept Ability: Death Slash."
Little Hela explained, "Whether it is a person or an object, everything has a Death Line. As long as you cut along that Death Line, you can easily kill the target.
"Earlier, Hela cut your Lightning Beam. Just now, Hela cut the space around Skye."
Thor and Skye both looked grave. "That powerful?"
"Of course it is powerful. This is a Concept Ability. Hela is different from us. She has lived for thousands of years and has long since fully mastered her own abilities, developing Killer Moves."
"So that’s how it is."
Thor and Skye understood. Thor’s eyes shone brightly. So this could be done? He wanted to develop a killer move too, one even stronger than Death Slash.
Thor had even thought of a name for it: Thor’s Wrath! "So what if you know? Can you block it?"
Hela sneered and swung the Night Sky Sword. One massive Death Sword after another descended from the sky, blasting toward Skye and Little Hela in succession.
"We’ll find out by trying."
Skye and Little Hela showed no fear. White giant swords and spatial shockwaves blasted out one after another, clashing fiercely with the Death Giant Swords in midair.
In a one-on-one fight, neither Skye nor Little Hela was Hela’s match. But in a two-on-one battle, even Hela could not quickly defeat the two women.
As the three women fought, the entire void was torn apart. Cold spatial rifts and violent Space Storms filled the area. The surrounding insect generals and Super Heroes hurriedly fled this region—even God-Devil Level beings could not withstand those terrifying spatial aftershocks.
"Heaven and earth collapsing… I’ve lived for decades, and I finally know what heaven and earth collapsing looks like."
Duke Brie, hiding aboard a warship, looked at the light screen and could not help sighing. "No wonder Queen Skye said that quality matters more than quantity in this universe. These super experts are simply too powerful."
"That’s right, far too powerful. Back then, even after gathering the strength of our entire empire, we still could not do anything to Planet Devourer. We could only watch him swallow our home planet."
Grand Duchess Sarah sighed. So what if they were the Three Great Empires? Before those powerful beings, did they not still have to bow their heads and obediently admit defeat? "The Blood God’s disciples truly are extraordinary."
Centurion Linda exclaimed, "Every one of them possesses the power to destroy a planet."
"Star Destroyer Level Experts."
Everyone nodded. Thinking of something, Grand Duchess Sarah asked, "By the way, why hasn’t the Blood God come this time? With his strength, neither that Hela nor Annihilus would be his match.
"If he were here, the insect disaster would surely be quelled very quickly."
"That’s right, why hasn’t the Blood God come?"
The representatives’ eyes lit up, and they all turned toward Steve—Steve had not joined the battle, as he was responsible for protecting the representatives here.
Just as Steve was about to answer, the Sovereign High Priest beside him said arrogantly, "The Blood God did not come because he has already ascended to become the most noble Creator God. Unless the universe is on the verge of destruction, he will not act lightly.
"From now on, most matters will be handled by his disciples."
"A Creator God? Really?"
The representatives cried out in shock. What did a Creator God represent? It represented an existence before whom even the Three Great Empires had to kneel.
The Blood God was indeed powerful, but how could he possibly be a Creator God? That was absurd.
The High Priest said proudly, "Of course it is true. He has already received the recognition of the other Creator Gods and become the most noble existence in the universe."
At first, the High Priest had been deeply unwilling to surrender to the Blood God. But now, not only had she sincerely submitted, she regarded it as Sovereign’s greatest honor.
Not just anyone could serve a Creator God! With a Creator God protecting them, who would dare provoke Sovereign in the future?
"A Creator God?"
Quite a few representatives’ eyes flickered as they decided to establish diplomatic relations with Earth immediately after returning.
"Earth’s rise is already inevitable."
Grand Duchess Sarah sighed and abandoned all thoughts of opposing Earth. There was no helping it; they simply could not afford to provoke them.
With a Creator God watching over them, along with those powerful Super Heroes outside, Earth’s rise was inevitable. A great empire was about to emerge.
"He actually became a Creator God?"
Centurion Linda’s expression was complicated. If I’d known, I would have slept with that guy a few more times. Now, even if I wanted to sleep with him, I wouldn’t get the chance.
For now, leaving aside the representatives’ thoughts, Hela’s brows gradually furrowed on the battlefield. She discovered that Skye and Little Hela’s strength was rising madly.
"They are digesting the graduation gifts Master gave them. I’ve become their sparring partner, and an unpaid one at that."
Hela looked displeased. Seeing several insect generals around her already defeated, she shouted to Annihilus, "Annihilus, your subordinates are useless. Use your ultimate move."
"Fine. I’ll deal with them immediately. You should hurry and deal with your opponents too."
Seeing the insect generals falling one after another, Annihilus’s expression darkened slightly. "This planet must be destroyed today. Otherwise, we will become a joke."
"No problem. I’ll let them know what the Goddess of Death is."
Hela stopped wasting words. With a thought, a ripple of death swept through the surroundings, forming a vast space that enveloped Skye, Little Hela, Fenrir, and Thor below.
There was not a trace of sunlight in this space. It was filled with deathly energy and the sounds of wailing ghosts, making it obvious at a glance that it was no decent place.
In fact, it truly was no decent place. This was the Underworld.
As soon as the Underworld emerged, Hela and Fenrir’s auras surged drastically. The holy light around Little Hela was compressed to the extreme, and the white giant swords’ power dropped sharply, forcing them back again and again before the Death Giant Swords.
Skye was no better off—her connection to the home planet had been cut off by the Underworld. In other words, she could no longer borrow the planet’s vibration power.
"What is going on? Why is my lightning being suppressed?"
Thor shouted in astonishment. Seeing him distracted, Fenrir rushed forward and sent him flying with a claw, then charged toward him with booming footsteps.
"Thor, when will you learn to focus?"
Little Hela was speechless. "This is Hela’s Concept Ability, Domain of Death. Simply put, she cut off a part of the Underworld and fused it into her body.
"Within the Underworld, her strength greatly increases, while ours is suppressed."
Skye said, "In other words, this is her home field."
"That’s right, this is my home field."
Hela said proudly, "Today, all of you will die here and become souls under my control."
Skye snorted coldly. "Dream on. Do you think you’re the only one with a trump card?"
"Senior sister, I’m sorry, but in here, you cannot summon the power of the Dragon World."
Hela said with a smile. "In other words, your trump card is useless."
Upon hearing this, Skye immediately drew King’s Glory. The Dragon Soul within it could still be used, but she could not sense the Dragon World. The surrounding space had been sealed off.
By the way, the halo and background music were still there. Those two were the true essence of King’s Glory.
"You think that’s my only trump card?"
Skye snorted and opened the small world within her body. Her aura surged sharply, and even the Underworld began to tremble faintly.
Hela was stunned. "Master gave you an entire world?"
Skye said proudly, "That’s right, the origin of an entire world. If you can, isolate that too."
"So what? Today, you are doomed."
Hela raised the Night Sky Sword high. Countless dense armies of Asgardian undead warriors appeared out of thin air around them.
Hela shouted loudly, "Asgard!"
"Asgard!"
All the undead responded in unison, their morale soaring. Asgardians loved battle the most.
"Asgardian undead warriors?"
Thor blinked, overturned Fenrir, then flew into the sky. Raising Stormbreaker, he shouted, "Asgard!"
No one answered Thor. Everyone looked at him as if he were an idiot.
Thor felt a little awkward. He coughed and shouted, "I am the King of Asgard, Thor. You should fight for me."
"While we lived, we fought for the King of Asgard. After death, we fight for the Goddess of Death of Asgard."
One warrior shouted, "I do not know why the Asgardian royal family is fighting among itself. I only know that everything we have was given to us by the Goddess of Death."
"Fight for the Goddess of Death!"
The undead warriors roared in unison, with no intention of surrendering to Thor at all. Please, Hela was the one paying their salaries—energy, that was.
