Fear, Elders
"A political marriage?"
Skye was stunned. Did the Skrull Empire have too many princes? Were they sending them over to die one after another?
Duke Brie assumed Skye was unwilling and said, "Queen Skye, if you don’t become an Elder, your Inhuman Kingdom may very well become cannon fodder for the alliance."
"The Skrull Empire really is determined to get the Inhumans."
Upon hearing Duke Brie’s words, Skye put on a hesitant expression. Seeing this, Duke Brie pressed on and kept persuading her, while Skye gradually began to "waver."
In the end, Duke Brie offered a large fleet, assistance in making Skye an Elder, and his utmost efforts to protect the Inhuman Kingdom, convincing Skye to agree to the political marriage.
Skye put on an act and sighed. "Duke Brie, who am I marrying?"
"The Fourth Prince. Queen Skye, whether in appearance or personality, the Fourth Prince is very similar to the Third Prince. You won’t be disappointed."
Duke Brie smiled, in an exceptionally good mood. If he secured this matter, the Empress would surely reward him handsomely.
A marriage alliance with the Inhuman Kingdom would not only grant them a large number of Inhuman abilities, but more importantly, it would establish ties with the Blood God.
The Plane War from more than a year ago had long since spread across the universe. The Blood God was now publicly acknowledged as the strongest being in the universe.
"I hope so. It’s a pity the Third Prince is gone."
Skye shook her head and said, "Duke Brie, don’t publicize this matter yet. We’ll talk about it after I become an Elder."
"Of course."
Duke Brie did not object. He said, "I’ll send the large fleet over as soon as possible."
"Thank you, Duke."
Skye nodded and had someone escort Duke Brie out. Once his figure had completely disappeared, she could not help bursting into laughter. She had struck it rich this time.
A large fleet, an Elder’s position, and getting the Fourth Prince killed—she had made an enormous profit.
"Looks like being cursed to outlive husbands has its benefits too."
Skye chuckled wickedly. She decided that after getting the Fourth Prince killed, she would continue marrying into the Skrull Empire. Maybe she could wipe out every male member of the Skrull royal family by herself.
At the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, Odin scrolled through short videos while giggling foolishly. The Great Serpent in the palace said displeasedly, "Bastard, scroll back. I haven’t finished watching that part. Earthlings are much better than us Asgardians at this sort of thing. Asgardian women only know how to be straightforward."
"Brother, I never expected you to be this kind of person."
Odin looked at him with disdain. The Great Serpent sneered. "Aren’t you exactly the same? You said before that this app recommends videos based on a user’s viewing habits. Hmph, then explain why you’ve gotten dozens of beautiful-woman videos in a row."
"This phone belongs to Thor. It has nothing to do with me."
Odin immediately shifted the blame to Thor. He said, "Brother, the world is so wonderful. Why must you cling to it so stubbornly? As long as you’re willing to let go of your hatred, I’ll release you at once. Then we can form an old-timers’ duo and make our debut together. What do you say?"
"Let go of my hatred? Odin, you were the brother I trusted most, yet you not only betrayed me, you sealed me away for thousands of years. How do you expect me to let go of my hatred?"
The Great Serpent sneered. "Between me and your Odin family, there can only be a fight to the death."
When the Great Serpent said this, his emotions barely fluctuated. It was not because his hatred ran shallow, but because it had seeped into his bones and soul. There was no possibility of resolving it.
Four words: Fight to the death.
Odin sighed and asked, "Are you still watching the short videos?"
"Why wouldn’t I? I’ve been sealed away for thousands of years. I could stare at a single strand of seaweed for a year, let alone videos this entertaining."
The Great Serpent spoke as if it were only natural. Odin shook his head and continued watching short videos.
Odin did not know that a Cloaked Man had silently appeared in the palace. The Great Serpent sent him a telepathic message. "When can I leave? I can’t wait to kill Odin."
"Why do I feel like you want to find women even more?"
The Cloaked Man mocked him. Looking toward the entrance, he said, "Humans should not be given too much freedom. The more freedom they have, the more depraved they become. Humans need order."
The Great Serpent said irritably, "What the hell does that have to do with me?"
"Indeed, it has nothing to do with you."
The Cloaked Man smiled, took out a gemstone from his robes, and tossed it to the Great Serpent. "Don’t worry. You’ll be able to get out soon."
The Great Serpent caught the gemstone. After sensing it briefly, he asked in shock, "So much fear?"
The Cloaked Man nodded. "That’s right. The insect race is slaughtering the universe, and the universe is now filled with fear."
"The universe is filled with fear?"
The Great Serpent cursed, "Damn it. With this seal in place, forget the fear of the universe—I can’t even absorb the fear on Earth."
"It’s fine. I’ll use the gemstone to absorb the universe’s fear, then give it to you."
The Cloaked Man said, "Once you absorb enough fear, both Odin and Asgard will be destroyed by your hand."
"Of course. I am the God of Fear."
The Great Serpent eagerly absorbed the power of fear while speaking excitedly. Yes, his divine position was God of Fear. The more the world feared him, the stronger he became.
That was why the Great Serpent had brutally ruled the Nine Realms.
The Cloaked Man reminded him, "Remember to help me destroy Earth."
"Don’t worry. Once I absorb enough fear, I’ll summon seven Fear Hammers to descend upon Earth. Then, seven powerful Worthy will emerge on Earth."
The Great Serpent said, "With the Worthy’s power, destroying Earth will be effortless."
"Good."
The Cloaked Man smiled. He did not mention the Blood God, because there was no need. The Great Serpent was merely a chess piece and did not need to know too much.
"Oh, right."
The Great Serpent recalled something and said, "Odin has Aether. I’m afraid he’ll seek mutual destruction with me."
The Cloaked Man said, "The Reality Stone isn’t in Odin’s hands. He’s bluffing you."
"Bluffing me? Odin, you really are a bastard."
The Great Serpent breathed a sigh of relief and cursed resentfully, "Before long, I’ll give you a huge surprise."
The Cloaked Man shook his head when he heard this, said nothing more, and vanished.
Death, Blood God, keep fighting. In the end, the victor will only be my master.
In S15 Parallel Universe, the Dragon Soul Clone fell from the sky like a meteor. With a boom, he blasted a massive crater into the ground, while the surrounding buildings collapsed like structures made of paper.
Before the Dragon Soul Clone could rise, a towering Purple Giant descended from the sky and threw a world-shattering punch at Wang Bert.
World-shattering was not a figure of speech, but a fact. After the Purple Giant threw his punch, the entire sky shattered. Propelled by the force of his fist, space surged toward Wang Bert like a raging flood.
Before the flood even arrived, its shockwaves alone split the ground apart and sent the surrounding seawater pouring madly into Manhattan.
Without question, once that punch truly landed, Manhattan would be erased from existence.
"Uncle Galactus, that’s enough for today. See you tomorrow."
Wang Bert pressed his hands together, and a small world appeared out of thin air beside the Purple Giant. The Purple Giant’s expression changed. Just as he was about to destroy the small world, it suddenly shattered, transforming into a spatial vortex that dragged him inside.
Space Concept—Absolute Banishment Spell.
The Purple Giant, Creator God Galactus, cursed loudly. "That move again? I won’t let you off!"
"Uncle Galactus, mind your image."
Wang Bert climbed out of the crater and said with a smile. Galactus could not respond, because he had been completely banished.
After Galactus left, Scarlet Witch flew over wrapped in red light and said, "You lasted thirty minutes before losing today. That’s three minutes longer than yesterday."
"I’ve improved, but it’s not enough."
Wang Bert said, "Galactus is truly powerful. Even when he isn’t full, he can still crush me."
Galactus possessed the complete Concept of Power. No one could withstand his fists. Even more terrifyingly, he possessed both the concepts of devouring and creation.
How could one of the Five Creator Gods possibly be a joke?
"I could help you, you know. I’m very strong now too."
Wanda said somewhat unhappily. She had fused with more than ten versions of herself, and her current strength was only one step away from an ancient god’s.
"I know you’re strong, but this is my training."
Wang Bert shook his head. "The Galactus of the Main Universe will come to Earth sooner or later. I have to increase my strength as quickly as possible."
Wanda shook her head. "Strength is like a pyramid. The higher you climb, the harder it gets."
"That’s why I need actual combat, to cross that threshold through battle."
Wang Bert said, "Enough about that. Let’s rest properly. Galactus will be back tomorrow."
"If you keep fighting, Earth will sooner or later end up like the Moon, blown apart by you two."
Wanda complained, "Good thing this Earth has no living people."
"Though there are no living people, there are zombies."
Wang Bert smiled. "Hey, later we should take some photos to bring back for Steve and the others, so they can see what they look like as zombies."
That was right. S15 Parallel Universe was the Zombie Universe. One day, Dr. Richards, who loved courting death, opened an interdimensional portal, only to be bitten by a zombie on the other side. The zombies then spread wildly across this Earth, and even Super Heroes became zombies.
By now, Earth no longer had any living people. That was why Wang Bert fought Galactus on Earth.
"You really have a twisted sense of humor. Too bad Earth has no living people left. Otherwise, we could take pictures of them eating people. Uh, pictures of us blowing their heads apart would be good too, especially Tony Stark. I really want to punch him."
"Wanda, are you actually a reincarnated demon?"
Wang Bert mocked. Remembering something, he asked, "By the way, how is the Infinity Stone collection going?"
"I’ve collected two already. I’ll find the rest soon."
Wanda said, "The Infinity Stones in this universe aren’t with the Elders of the Universe, so it’s been a little slow."
"That’s good. Sorry for the trouble. I’ll focus on fighting Galactus while you help me find the Infinity Stones. Once we collect them all, we’ll end this."
Wanda nodded first, then asked, "Right, should we return to the Main Universe and support everyone?"
"No need. My original body can handle it."
Wang Bert smiled. Death was indeed troublesome, but his original body was no pushover.
On the Inhuman Kingdom’s home planet, with Earth Express helping out, reinforcements from the various planets arrived quickly. Once Skye saw that nearly everyone who should be there had arrived, she officially convened the alliance conference.
On the first day of the alliance conference, they argued.
On the second day, they argued and fought.
On the third day, they continued arguing. The Skrull Empire and Shi’ar Empire forcibly suppressed the chaos, and the various planets began formal negotiations.
On the fourth day, after intense arguments, everyone decided to elect five Elders to manage the alliance and command the cosmic war.
On the fifth day, the various planets nominated Duke Brie of the Skrull Empire and Grand Duchess Sarah of the Shi’ar Empire as Elders.
On the sixth day, Centurion Lindy of Xandar was nominated as an Elder. At the same time, someone nominated Queen Skye as an Elder.
On the seventh day, they argued.
"So many people are actually opposing Skye?"
Tony looked at the noisy conference and said in surprise, "I thought Skye would easily become an Elder with the Skrull Empire’s support."
"Skye is too young. Her prestige is far from sufficient."
Nick Fury shook his head. "Also, support from the Skrull Empire means opposition from the Shi’ar Empire."
"True. Hmph, the Frontlines are so tense, yet these people have been holding meetings for seven days and arguing for seven days."
Tony snorted. "What’s even more ridiculous is that after seven days, they still haven’t selected the final two Elders. Sigh, I hope this alliance can be formed smoothly before the insect army arrives.
"Don’t let something absurd happen, like the insect race attacking on the day the alliance is established to help celebrate."
"Probably not. This is the universe’s first major union, so some chaos is normal."
Nick Fury shook his head. "The formation of this alliance is extremely significant. If all goes well, the universe may eventually develop an organization similar to the United Nations.
"The various planets have all recognized this, which is why they care so much about the alliance’s authority. Of course, it’s also for safety. No one wants to be cannon fodder."
"A United Planets?"
Tony sneered. "Too bad Bert can’t come. Otherwise, this would have been simple."
"It is indeed a pity, but he’s already on a different level from us."
Nick Fury shook his head. He no longer bore any hostility toward Wang Bert. Come on, the man was a Creator God. Why would he care about a mere Earth? In fact, Earth was now the one begging for his protection.
Tony immediately lost interest in speaking. His ambitions were sky-high, and he was unwilling to admit that he was far inferior to Wang Bert, even though it was a fact.
Steve, who had been standing nearby, asked, "Since the alliance is so significant, should Earth also compete for an Elder’s position?"
"We can’t win. Earth has only just entered the interstellar age and is far too lacking in every aspect."
Nick Fury shook his head and said, "I suggest Earth fully support Skye. Skye is the Blood God’s disciple. If she becomes an Elder, it will be equivalent to Earth becoming an Elder."
"That works too."
Steve thought for a moment and nodded. "I’ll notify Dr. Banner to fully support Skye. Fury Elder, your Ravagers Alliance needs to contribute as well."
"Who would care about the Ravagers Alliance’s support?"
Nick Fury laughed helplessly. Looking down at the venue, he said, "I hope Skye can successfully become an Elder. Only then can I enter the alliance’s logistics department."
"You again?"
Tony and Steve were both speechless. "Haven’t you embezzled enough? Are you planning to embezzle the entire alliance too?"
"I’m not embezzling for myself. All the assets I embezzle will go into Earth’s wallet."
Nick Fury said righteously, "Everything I do is for Earth’s rise."
