He Wasn’t a Guest

"Loki."

Seeing that Tony could not help, Thor hurriedly called out while frantically winking.

"Great God of the Void Kassadin was more than merciful. He was great and magnanimous."

"I came here to pay my respects to Lord Kassadin."

Seeing Thor’s desperate signals and sensing the murderous gazes ready to kill him at any moment, Loki reluctantly put on a respectful expression and spoke.

He also knew that on Void Island, fighting or trying any other tricks would be useless.

Even without mentioning the woman who appeared to be in charge, Renoli and Kyle alone would be difficult for him to deal with.

He had not forgotten how those people slaughtered Chitauri like chickens. If he wanted to leave alive, he could only rely on his words.

"Asgardian, you had better remember what you just said."

"This is not Asgard, much less one of the Nine Realms under Asgard’s rule. This is Void Island."

"If you came with respect, we would naturally welcome you. But if you dared to disrespect Lord Kassadin—"

"Then there would be no place for you here."

Sonia’s gaze at Loki was incomparably sharp as she spoke.

"Mr. Tony, he is from the Nine Realms, and your homeworld, Earth, is also one of the Nine Realms."

"You handle him. Teach him what rules are, then send him back."

Sonia then turned to Tony and spoke.

Upon hearing Sonia tell him to handle Loki, Tony wanted to say that he was not particularly familiar with Loki.

However, when Tony saw Thor winking at him and even bowing repeatedly, just short of kneeling, he knew Thor treasured his foolish younger brother Loki greatly.

"Alright, I’ll send him back."

So Tony ultimately did not refuse and agreed.

"Sorry, everyone. My friend’s younger brother caused you all trouble."

"In a few days, I’ll hold a grand banquet as an apology. Please forgive us."

Tony then grabbed Loki by the collar and flew away, lest that idiot say something else offensive and leave Tony unable to smooth things over even if he wanted to help.

"This is only a minor matter. There is no need for everyone to take it too seriously, nor should you blame Mr. Tony because of it."

"You may all disperse."

Sonia looked at the many Void Cult members still watching and spoke.

"We understand. This matter has little to do with Tony."

"Sorry for troubling you, Miss Sonia."

Upon hearing that, Renoli gave a slight, respectful bow.

He knew that if no one took the lead, the Void Cult members might develop a much worse impression of Tony because of Loki.

As Tony’s friend, he knew this matter was not Tony’s fault at all.

It was entirely because Loki had failed to understand the weight of his own status and sneaked over to take a look on his own.

"Sorry for troubling you, Miss Sonia."

Seeing Renoli say so, the other Void Cult members, regardless of what they thought, still had to greet Miss Sonia politely on the surface.

Sonia nodded slightly, then left directly.

"Did you not even look at what kind of place this is?"

"This is Void Island, the headquarters of the Void Cult."

"Here, God of the Void Kassadin’s status is supreme."

"Even other members of the Void Cult would be punished if they dared disrespect Lord Kassadin."

"You’re an Asgardian. Where did you get the nerve?"

Tony took Loki straight back to his laboratory, threw the Loki who could not open his eyes from the high-speed flight onto the floor, and spoke helplessly.

"Tony, thank you so much for this."

Hearing Tony’s scolding and seeing that Loki had landed face-first but was otherwise unharmed, Thor spoke somewhat sheepishly.

"We’re friends. No need to say that."

"But rather than thanking me, you should thank Miss Sonia. She did not hold it against him just now and allowed someone from Earth like me to take him away."

"Without her permission, I wouldn’t have dared interfere."

"Otherwise, if she had decided to pursue the matter, even a hundred lives wouldn’t have been enough for him to lose."

Tony waved off Thor’s thanks, then spoke.

"Yeah. If I get the chance later, I’ll thank her properly."

"But who exactly is Miss Sonia?"

Thor thought it over after hearing that. Knowing Loki had indeed been allowed to leave because Sonia permitted it, he nodded in understanding before asking curiously.

"You’re both gods, so I’ll put it in terms you can understand immediately."

"The Void Cult on Void Island worships Lord Kassadin, while Sonia is God of the Void’s Emissary."

After thinking for a moment, Tony briefly explained Sonia’s status on Void Island.

"An emissary of the Void Cult?"

"Then why hadn’t I heard her name when I was investigating?"

Loki climbed up from the floor and spoke.

"How much did you find out online?"

Seeing Loki get up, Tony asked in return.

"I found that the Void Cult currently had around four hundred members and had established an organization in the bounty hunter world."

Loki stated some of what he had discovered.

"That was all you found?"

"Then did you learn how to pass the Void Cult’s trials and receive the Void blessing?"

"Did you learn how strong each member on the island was?"

"And did you learn how most Void Cult members treated guests?"

Tony fired off question after question.

"…"

Loki shook his head upon hearing them.

"You didn’t even learn any of that, so where did you get the nerve to come here right away?"

"Come into the laboratory with me. I’ll explain the rules to you and what you need to watch out for when encountering Void Cult members outside in the future."

"Then, Loki, you can go straight back where you came from."

Seeing that Loki knew nothing when questioned, Tony dragged him toward the laboratory.

"Mr. Tony, who is this guest?"

Lalatina had seen Mr. Tony fly off in a hurry earlier, only to return with an unfamiliar guest, and asked in confusion.

"He doesn’t count as a guest. You don’t need to prepare anything for him to eat or drink. I’ll have him leave shortly."

Seeing that Lalatina had no idea what had happened, Tony casually explained a little.

Seeing Tony reprimand Loki, Thor was somewhat pleased inside.

He could not bring himself to punish Loki severely. At most, he could only give Loki a harsh scolding.

But watching Tony teach Loki a lesson, knowing Tony would not kill him, Thor found it immensely satisfying with Loki’s safety guaranteed.
