Magneto Strikes
Looking up at the sky from Earth, a layer of white, misty fog shrouded the entire firmament. Such a massive event could not possibly be concealed, and governments across the globe had already announced to the people of the world that aliens were about to invade Earth. Although some backward countries suffered riots as a result, most civilized nations passed through it safely without major impact, and whatever unrest arose was forcefully suppressed by governments. At a time of life-and-death for civilization, personal glory and disgrace were completely cast aside.
The sun shone upon the white shield, casting a platinum light. The platinum sunlight spilled onto the ground, looking exceptionally beautiful.
Yet beneath this beautiful exterior, Earth welcomed an unprecedented, massive disaster. Across the entire sky, across the global sky, massive alien spacecraft descended.
Alien spacecraft several thousand meters long were nothing to Xiao Hen. Such vessels could at best be considered Tier-4 Civilization or Level 5 Civilization creations, and the energy level of their energy cannons was merely ordinary, lacking even antimatter technology. Thus, the planetary defense system brought by Star-Lord was able to block them. As for the space battleship in Xiao Hen’s possession, not to mention the Sel-class or the Gray-class, even a Mars-class space battleship alone could sweep across Earth. Of course, a Mars-class spaceship would still be unable to resist the powerhouses among the superheroes, not to mention the mutants.
With Magneto on Earth, given his mastery over metal, the Mars-class space warships in the sky simply could not withstand him.
Xiao Hen’s divine sense enshrouded the globe, beginning to survey the battle situation.
He had no intention of making a move just yet; these small fries should be left to the superheroes and mutants to resolve. He had only one opponent, and that was Thanos.
However, it seems these members of the Dark Order have come specifically for the Infinity Stones, and the Infinity Stones on Earth are all in my hands right now! Xiao Hen thought, rubbing his chin. Ah well, if the situation gets too out of hand, I’ll step in and lend a hand!
His current strength had already reached a level close to the Main God. Over the past year, aside from searching for Strange’s traces and taking back the Time Stone, he had been soaking up the ‘sun’ in the Divine Kingdom continent within the Super String Space. His current strength had reached about eighty percent of a Main God Avatar, meaning that Xiao Hen’s true body currently possessed a combat power of around five million.
Not only that, but this time he was going to face Thanos, and the divine power stored within his body had now reached thirty thousand points. Thanks to the angels spreading across the heavens and realms, the collection speed of faith power had increased dramatically, and the Main God Avatar no longer had to worry about running out of divine power.
Hmm? Speaking of Magneto, he’s making a move right now. As expected, Magneto is truly the strongest Earthling for dealing with space battleships!
Xiao Hen’s gaze projected toward the Canada region.
In Canada, above the Rocky Mountains, a space battleship packed with several thousand Dark Order aliens descended from the sky with a rumbling sound. This distance was far too close; even if the battleship wanted to activate its energy cannons, it was already too late. Charging required time, and humans on the ground would not give them that time.
Magneto wore a suit of steel armor, flying mid-air, with several flying members of the Brotherhood of Mutants standing behind him.
"Erik, I really didn’t expect that this time we’d actually have a chance to join forces with Charles!" a mutant behind him said.
"Hmph!" Magneto nodded, yet his expression was grave as he looked at the sky. "My conflict with Charles is merely a conflict between mutants, but right now, the entire Earth is facing a crisis of destruction. Naturally, those minor matters must be put aside!"
"I’d like to see just how strong these aliens really are!" Another mutant was covered in flames, looking with disdain at the slowly descending space battleship in the sky.
"You probably won’t get the chance. Go find enemies on other battlefields later!" Magneto said coldly, having already slowly extended his hand and aimed it from afar at the space battleship in the sky.
In an instant, the entire sky seemed to pause, and then with a loud crash, that several thousand-meter-long space battleship in the sky was suddenly gripped as if by an invisible giant hand, and then squeezed inward. Following a thunderous explosion, the space battleship burst apart violently. No matter how strong the Dark Order aliens inside were, they could not survive such an explosion. As the fireballs in the sky smashed into the ground, the entire heaven and earth grew quiet.
"Lord Erik is still as powerful as ever!"
"Yeah, with Lord Erik here, we don’t fear this so-called Dark Order at all!"
"Since Lord Lord is taking care of things here, it looks like we won’t get a chance to fight the aliens. Shall we head to other battlefields?"
"Let’s go! To the south, there seem to be a lot of battleships landing down there."
Xiao Hen slowly withdrew his gaze, a hint of a smile appearing on his face. As expected, Magneto’s ability to control metal had a terrifying lethality against space battleships. Before the energy shields of these space battleships could even activate, they were completely wiped out by Magneto. Presumably, the enemy had never imagined that such a powerhouse existed on Earth.
In North America, Michigan, a battleship descended from the sky, landing upon the earth. The battleship doors opened, and fully armed aliens holding weapons marched out in squads. These aliens held high-tech firearms, seemingly a grade higher than the weapons of Earth’s active-duty military, though not too exaggerated. On the ground, U.S. soldiers had already been waiting in full battle gear. When the battleship had been descending earlier, they continuously fired missiles, attempting to shoot down the space battleship. Unfortunately, such actions were ultimately futile; those missiles and the weapons fired by fighter jets could not break the outer shell of the spaceship at all. Seeing this sight, the ground military commander could only give up, and instead led the troops to prepare for battle.
Rumble…
Tat-tat-tat…
The two sides did not exchange pleasantries upon meeting—or rather, the firing of guns was the best form of greeting. The moment the two sides exchanged fire, the gap between them was instantly apparent.
The penetration and firing speed of the weapons in the hands of the Dark Order aliens were far superior to Earth’s firearms, and the bulletproof vests worn by the soldiers could not defend against the enemy’s firepower at all. The soldiers fell one after another like harvested wheat.
"Fire, give me full firepower! Have the rear artillery provide support, and the fighter jets too! We need air support!" the commander roared upon seeing this.
"Air Force command center sends word—fighter jets are already on the way! Also, the enemy has their own air force, and our missiles simply cannot lock onto the enemy’s fighter jets!"
"Connect me to the Allied Military Headquarters! We need reinforcements!"
Requests for reinforcements like this were transmitted from all engagement points to the Global Allied Military Command, giving Earth’s high-ranking leaders a massive headache. Everything that could be sent out as reinforcement had already been dispatched, leaving only nuclear warheads. But right now, both sides were fighting on Earth; the enemy didn’t care whether Earth lived or died, but they themselves could not afford not to care. Using nukes right now was far too early.
"Notify the superheroes and mutants, and transmit the locations of the most critical engagement points to them. The battle situation is tight; they are needed for emergency reinforcements!"
"Understood!"
