Mind Power

"How interesting, Blood God. You’re far too interesting."

The Crimson God, who had fallen behind, burst into laughter. Crimson light flared around him as his power suddenly surged, suppressing Wang Bert once more.

"The Crimson God grows stronger against stronger opponents. How dare a mere clone like you try to teach him?"

Chthon said disdainfully. At the same time, black mist continuously transformed into runes, clearly preparing some kind of magic.

"No matter how strong he becomes, I won’t lose to him."

Wang Bert shouted, his power rapidly rising until it was no weaker than the Crimson God’s.

As his strength increased, Wang Bert regained the upper hand. His techniques were far superior to the Crimson God’s. For example, he could carry part of an impact into his next punch. Furthermore, his force-dispersing techniques far surpassed Cyttorak’s, allowing him to recover faster every time.

These little techniques were not actually difficult to learn, but Cyttorak had been born with immense power and had no need for techniques belonging to "the weak." So he had never learned them, nor did he need to. He had his own fighting style.

It was to constantly increase his strength, attack wildly, and crush his opponent completely—a classic brute. Hulk was the same.

The Crimson God grew more excited as he fought, and the power around him became increasingly stronger, as if it had no upper limit.

Wang Bert was the same. No matter how much the Crimson God increased his power, Wang Bert could immediately keep up, then suppress him with his own techniques.

The battle between the two grew increasingly intense. The entire space rang with the sounds of their collisions, more shocking and terrifying than thunder in the heavens.

"There’s something wrong with Blood God’s clone."

Chthon frowned deeply. After thinking for a moment, he condensed the runes into a Magic Array. Then he pushed forward, and the Magic Array transformed into an invisible stream of Black Qi that surged toward Wang Bert.

This Black Qi was weakening magic. Enhanced by a concept, it could weaken at least half of Wang Bert’s strength. Since Cyttorak could not suppress Blood God, Chthon would help Cyttorak out.

Wang Bert immediately noticed the Black Qi. He snorted and punched the void. His fist force burst forth, forcibly scattering the Black Qi.

"He actually scattered a curse with his fist? That’s not magic!"

Chthon stared in disbelief. It was not impossible to break a curse with one’s fists, but one had to add the Concept of Power and use conceptual power to destroy everything. Wang Bert clearly did not possess the Concept of Power.

Refusing to believe it, Chthon cast curse after curse—weakening, blinding, pain…—but Wang Bert shattered every last one with his fist force.

Chthon found him extremely troublesome. Not only could Wang Bert smash everything apart with his fists, but even more troublesome was his extreme sensitivity to curses. No matter what curse it was, it could not escape his notice. His eyes seemed able to see through everything.

Chthon finally understood what One Punch Breaks All Laws meant. This was One Punch Breaks All Laws.

However, Chthon’s magic was not entirely ineffective. At the very least, it distracted part of Wang Bert’s attention. The Crimson God seized the opportunity to launch a series of fierce attacks, and the battle gradually became evenly matched.

This guy doesn’t have a shred of martial spirit.

Wang Bert silently complained. Cyttorak was a battle maniac. He did not care about fairness. He only wanted to defeat his opponent, nothing more.

Wang Bert was not anxious. He fought steadily and methodically, confident that he would win, even if Cyttorak and Chthon Teamed Up.

"Since curse magic is useless, I can only change methods."

After thinking for a moment, Chthon began gathering magic again. Cyttorak was ultimately only a summoned projection, and his power had a limit. If Chthon did not help, Cyttorak would sooner or later lose to Wang Bert.

Very soon, Chthon’s Black Magic finished gathering. He pointed, and the Magic Array merged into his left hand. Before long, his left hand went numb and could no longer be controlled.

At the same time, Wang Bert’s left hand also went numb. He could only defend with one hand. Seeing this, Cyttorak knew his opportunity had come. His arms swelled to twice their size, and his fists attacked wildly like a tidal wave.

"Substitute Black Magic?"

Wang Bert frowned slightly. His right hand defended him perfectly, but with one hand missing, Cyttorak forced him back step by step.

"Excellent."

Chthon nodded in satisfaction, casting with one hand as a Magic Array rapidly formed before him.

Boom! Wang Bert crashed into the spatial barrier and could retreat no farther. Cyttorak roared, gathering all the power in his body into both hands, then smashed down at Wang Bert like two High-Speed Movement meteorites.

At the same time, Chthon pushed with his right hand, and the Magic Array suddenly appeared on the spatial barrier behind Wang Bert. Next, countless hands of deathly energy emerged from the Magic Array, tightly grabbing Wang Bert and preventing him from moving or attacking.

Even more terrifyingly, these hands of deathly energy absorbed Wang Bert’s strength, making him increasingly weak.

Black Magic, Death Hand.

"Let’s see how you survive this!"

Chthon shouted with a savage expression. As a great demon god, he normally would not lose control like this, but Wang Bert was only a tiny clone. A mighty demon god like him had suffered setback after setback at the hands of a mere clone. How could he not be furious?

Chthon was, in fact, extremely concerned with saving face.

"Interesting."

Facing certain doom, Wang Bert showed no fear at all. Instead, he grinned. The next moment, all the Death Hands on his body were shattered by a tremendous force.

Immediately afterward, Wang Bert threw a punch carrying the conviction of victory. Time twisted, and the punch struck first despite being thrown later, smashing viciously into Cyttorak’s chest. Cyttorak screamed as he flew backward, his body rapidly disintegrating from the chest outward.

If I believe I can win, then I can win. It was that simple.

"Wonderful, Blood God! We’ll fight again next time, with our true bodies."

Cyttorak laughed loudly and completely disappeared from Fair Space.

Chthon’s expression turned ugly beyond measure. He asked, "Mind Concept?"

Wang Bert’s outburst had finally allowed Chthon to understand his ability. Wang Bert smiled. "That’s right. Mind Concept. As long as I believe I can win, I can win."

The concept Wang Bert had given the Bald Clone was precisely the Mind Concept. To help him comprehend it better, Wang Bert had specifically fused the Gladiator Bloodline into the clone.

The more confident one was, the stronger the Gladiator Bloodline made them. Through that bloodline, combined with the Mind Stone, the Bald Clone rapidly mastered the Mind Concept and developed a Mind Power.

Mind Concept—if I believe I can win, I can win.

Put simply, it used Mind Power to affect reality. The more confident one’s heart was, the stronger one became.

"I never expected the Mind Concept could be used this way."

Even Chthon could not help sighing. Generally speaking, Mind Power was either used to control others or launched directly as an attack. Yet Wang Bert had used his mind to alter reality, turning falsehood into truth. It was simply unbelievable.

"Come to think of it, I should thank you for sealing my Space Magic. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have grown this quickly."

Wang Bert annihilated his left hand. As he forced a new arm to grow, he said, "I don’t need other abilities. I only need to believe in myself."

After Wang Bert lost his left hand, Chthon’s substitute magic immediately failed. Chthon endured the backlash and canceled the spell, saying, "Blood God, you truly have exceeded my expectations. But with the Mind Concept alone, you cannot kill me. I am not a projection. I am my true body."

"I don’t see it that way."

Wang Bert charged in front of Chthon like a cannonball and threw an Earth-Shattering punch. Chthon suddenly vanished. Then, a black shadow appeared behind Wang Bert and rushed into his body.

Black Magic, Ghost Erosion.

Wang Bert snorted and crushed the Ghost with Mind Power. Then he closed his eyes and sensed his surroundings. A moment later, his fist, carrying the conviction of victory, smashed into the empty space beside him. Chthon was directly blasted out, and a protective phantom around him shattered with a crash.

Chthon did not dare let down his guard. Black fireballs, poisonous fire arrows, venomous ice spikes, death skulls, and other Black Magic spells bombarded Wang Bert one after another. Under the effect of the concept, these spells gathered into a magical torrent that surged mightily toward Wang Bert.

"Such petty tricks, and you dare show off before an expert?"

Wang Bert smiled disdainfully and threw an unadorned punch. The entire torrent exploded from the point where it collided with his fist. In a single breath, all the magic was blown apart.

One breath was enough for Chthon. He slammed his hand downward, and endless black mist emerged, covering all of Fair Space.

This black mist was extremely strange. Not only could nothing be seen through it, even one’s senses were blocked by it. Wang Bert snorted and suddenly shot forward. Then, his right fist smashed out violently, striking Chthon.

Then Wang Bert screamed and flew backward.

That was right. The one sent flying was not Chthon, but Wang Bert. The impact was so powerful that he did not stop until he crashed into the spatial barrier.

At that moment, the black mist suddenly withdrew, and Chthon reappeared before Wang Bert. He sneered, "Did you think this black mist was meant to obscure your vision? No. This black mist was meant to erode your body."

Wang Bert fell from the barrier and asked coldly, "There was something wrong with that Ghost from before?"

"Of course there was. Why would I do something useless?"

Chthon sneered. "With your strength, along with Fair Space, defeating the other ancient gods would not be difficult. But I am not like the other ancient gods. I am the great demon god Chthon. No one can defeat me, much less a mere clone like you."

"Is that so?"

Wang Bert could not be bothered with more nonsense. He charged in front of Chthon again and punched toward his head. Chthon did not even dodge. The next moment, Wang Bert’s head was struck heavily by a punch, sending him spinning through the air before he crashed onto the arena.

Wang Bert climbed to his feet, shook his head, and said coldly, "All the damage I deal to you gets transferred back to me?"

"That’s right. This is conceptual Black Magic: Damage Transfer."

Chthon said smugly, "In other words, from now on, only I can hit you—or you can hit yourself. Hmph, brute."

As a grand master of magic, Chthon despised most in his life brutes with no technical skill whatsoever.

"You really are difficult to deal with. First the Crimson God, and now Damage Transfer."

Wang Bert spat in annoyance. Chthon was much harder to deal with than Astros—he was proficient in Black Magic, possessed countless methods, and had almost no weaknesses.

"You think that’s all? I have plenty of Trump Cards. I even prepared a major killer move for Blood God."

Chthon said, "I mean your true body. If he truly defeats Galactus, I’ll use that major killer move to send him on his way."

"You think you’re worthy of fighting my true body? You can’t even kill me."

Wang Bert sneered. "So what if I can’t hit you? I’ll keep you tied up here. Once the battle outside ends, plenty of people will come in and gang up on you."

"I forgot to tell you something just now."

Chthon formed an explosive Magic Array and blasted it onto himself. Then he said, "When I hit myself, the damage will also transfer to you. And this kind of damage is something you cannot resist."

As Chthon spoke, Wang Bert was blasted into the air by the explosion, nearly coughing up blood.

"Blood God’s clone, I’ll make your death as miserable as possible. How dare a mere clone act so arrogantly before me?"

Chthon smiled savagely. Dense Magic Arrays appeared all around him, and then they all blasted toward him at once. He was immediately engulfed by all kinds of magical light.

"Ah!" Wang Bert let out a miserable scream. His body was struck by countless spells and nearly collapsed.

Chthon grew even more smug and continued using magic to bombard himself. Wang Bert roared, his battered body charging toward Chthon like a cannonball.

"Just as I thought, a brute."

Chthon smiled disdainfully and opened a path for Wang Bert to enter. The harder Wang Bert attacked, the more miserably he would die.

"I refuse to believe I can’t kill you."

Wang Bert gathered all the power in his body into his right fist. Then, with a lone wolf’s roar, his fist surpassed time and smashed into Chthon like a meteor striking the earth.

"Brute!"

Chthon’s face was full of smiles. The next moment, his smile turned to shock, then from shock to terror.

Boom! Chthon was directly blown apart by Wang Bert, flesh and blood splattering everywhere.

"Idiot."

Wang Bert smiled contemptuously, his body recovering at an astonishing speed. Earlier, he had merely been putting on an act.

Chthon had too many methods. He had to be killed in one blow, or the battle would only become more troublesome. In comparison, the Eye Demon and the Crimson God were much easier to handle, because their methods were extremely limited.

"That’s impossible! How did you break my Concept Ability?"

Chthon’s soul roared violently in the air. At the same time, a large amount of black mist enveloped his soul, reconstructing his body for him.

Seeing this, Wang Bert wasted no words. He immediately rushed over and scattered the black mist with his fists, preventing Chthon from reviving.

As for why Wang Bert could break Damage Transfer? The reason was simple. Wang Bert not only knew all Black Magic, but also knew how to break most Black Magic.

Put simply, Wang Bert could do everything Chthon could, because he had Zombie Universe Chthon.

Wang Bert was not so confident because he was arrogant. It was because he had made thorough preparations beforehand. Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win every battle. He knew Chthon inside out, while Chthon knew nothing about him. If he did not win, who would?

Wang Bert’s confidence was genuine confidence. That was why his fist force was so terrifying.

"Chthon, weren’t you feeling smug just now? Go on, be smug again. I’m telling you, you’re dead today."

As Wang Bert attacked, he shouted, "And killing you only requires one of my clones. You are not worthy of making my true body act, because you’re far too weak."
