Self-Introductions, the Competition Begins

Mo Qi had put a great deal of thought into this matter, specifically selecting those with both good talent and good character. To understand their character, they had to investigate each one individually, which exhausted quite a few teachers and students at Shrek Academy.

If Su Yu had been here, he would definitely have said not to make things so troublesome. He did not care anyway; even if Mo Qi sent him spoiled young masters, he could discipline them into obedience.

After the new students registered, they were given two days off. Mo Qi had arranged this so he would have time to assign them to classes. The two days passed quickly, and on this day, all the new students gathered on the field. Their class assignments had been written on a large blackboard that had been placed on the field early that morning.

After checking their classes, everyone gradually headed toward the Teaching Building. There were seven Teaching Buildings in total, one for each grade. There was also one building that was the largest and shortest of them all, mainly used for assemblies involving the entire faculty and student body.

The other Teaching Buildings all had four floors, with four classrooms on each floor. In fact, every grade’s building had vacant classrooms.

Class one of the first year was in the first classroom on the fourth floor, while Class Two was in the first classroom on the third floor. The other classes were on the second and first floors. This was because Shrek Academy believed that those with greater talent should be placed higher up, and this had always been how Shrek Academy assigned classes.

401

Shrek Academy’s classrooms were very large, as they had originally been built to accommodate one hundred students per class. Aside from the first years, the other classes all had around a hundred students. Compared to them, the first years were simply too fortunate.

The classroom looked like a university classroom from Su Yu’s former life on Earth, with fixed desks and seats. Students gradually began arriving in class one.

There were exactly fifty students in total, thirty boys and twenty girls. They all took their seats and began chatting with the classmates beside them.

Moreover, most of them came from commoner families and were easy to get along with. This was also the result of Mo Qi’s careful selection.

Su Yu soon arrived at the classroom. The moment everyone saw him, they immediately cried out in surprise. They had all seen yesterday that Su Yu was a Titled Douluo! They had never expected their teacher to be a Titled Douluo. This was far too fortunate!

Su Yu looked at them and smiled. "It seems everyone is quite satisfied with having me as your homeroom teacher. But do not scream like that in the future."

"Your Excellency, are you really our homeroom teacher?" one boy asked, his eyes shining.

Anyone would be delighted to have a Titled Douluo as their teacher.

Su Yu nodded. "Absolutely. I have already reviewed all of your records, so I know all of you. But you do not know your other classmates yet. How about this? The first thing we will do today is have everyone introduce themselves."

"No more nonsense. I will introduce myself first. My name is Su Yu. My Martial Soul is the Taigu Yiyin Qin. I am a level ninety-nine Limit Douluo, and from now on, I will be your homeroom teacher."

"!!!"

Everyone stared at Su Yu in shock, including Xu Xing. Titled Douluos also differed in strength, and they simply could not believe that Su Yu was the strongest kind of Limit Douluo!

Su Yu smiled. "All right, do not be so surprised. Xu Xing, introduce yourself first. Then the rest of you can come up one by one."

With that, Su Yu stepped aside. The teachers at Shrek Academy were different from those elsewhere; there was always a chair in front of the podium for the teacher to sit on. Su Yu directly moved it to the doorway and sat down.

Xu Xing walked onto the podium and said, "Hello, everyone. My name is Xu Xing. My Martial Soul is the Blazing Firebird, and I am a level thirty Soul Grandmaster. Please take care of me in the future."

After saying that, Xu Xing stepped down. Then, one after another, the others came up to introduce themselves. It was not until an hour later that everyone had finished.

Class one currently had fifteen Soul Elders, all selected by Mo Qi from among the students who had passed the earlier examinations. There were only twenty twelve-year-old Soul Elders admitted by Shrek Academy this year in total. Mo Qi had not assigned the other five to class one, most likely because their character was not very good.

Although class one had fifteen Soul Elders, there were also several students who had only just reached level twenty-one. Students with talent like that would generally only be placed in Class Ten.

Classes were assigned according to talent. This was not because Shrek looked down on those with weaker talent, but because placing students of similar talent together allowed teachers to teach according to their abilities. Otherwise, if they were assigned randomly, teachers would have to prepare several different teaching plans.

After the introductions ended, Su Yu returned to the podium and said, "Now, let us choose the class officers. There will be seven class officers: one class monitor and six vice monitors. I believe you all know why there are seven positions, so I will not say more. Anyone who wants to be a class officer will have to prove it through strength. In a moment, you will draw lots and compete in matches."

"After the seven class officers have been chosen, anyone who is dissatisfied in the future may challenge them directly. If you win, you can take their place."

As soon as he finished speaking, a lottery box suddenly appeared in Su Yu’s hand. Inside were fifty small balls in two colors, red and blue. There were twenty-five of each color, with Arabic numerals written on them.

Su Yu placed the box on the podium. "Come up one at a time and draw a ball."

Everyone nodded. They stepped forward, drew a ball, and then went back down. Some tried to sneak a look at the numbers of those beside them, only to be immediately glared at.

Su Yu said, "Let us go to the field. There is not enough room here."

With that, Su Yu led everyone toward the field.

At the Martial Arts Arena on the field.

Su Yu said, "Those who drew the number one ball, come up."

As Su Yu’s voice fell, two boys stepped into the Martial Arts Arena.

Both were in their twenties in level, and their Soul Power was not far apart. They fought for several minutes before a winner was decided. As soon as the first match ended, the second began.

The entire morning passed, and only twenty matches had been completed. Since it was lunchtime, Su Yu could not very well keep them there, so he let them go eat. After lunch, they were to gather directly at the field.

The remaining thirty matches were quickly completed. Su Yu then had the twenty-five winners draw lots once more, eliminating another twelve. In the third round of drawing lots, the top seven were selected directly.

However, one of them had entered the top seven due to a bye, so the other six in the third round were very dissatisfied and wanted to challenge him. Some also felt that they deserved to be among the top seven, so they began challenging the others.

Su Yu set a rule: if the challenged person won, he could rest for an hour. This was also for the sake of fairness.
