Strategies for Dealing with It

Compared to the conflicted Dam, the members of the group community all began speaking up.

Hercules Kyle: "To prevent any accidents… does that mean the danger brought by this upheaval is extraordinary?"

Lacey: "Obviously. This is the first time Lord Kassadin has conveyed that something dangerous might happen."

Supersonic Renoli: "The Void Cult members may not be at the very top of the universe yet, but we’re still considered elite. Could we encounter danger even so?"

Tycoon Tony Stark: "Since it’s an instruction from Lord Kassadin, we just need to follow it."

Hulk Bruce Banner: "Understood."

Lex the Yama: "Since Lord Kassadin personally issued an instruction, it seems necessary for me to return to Void Island and take a look."

Recorder Sarah: "What, what? Is something huge about to happen? How wide will the impact be? Should I move all my things from outside over here?"

Claudia: "Received."

Flame Charles: "I’m currently off-world. Do I need to return?"

Because of Sonia’s message, the group immediately erupted into chaos.

Sonia rarely spoke in the group community to begin with. She only showed up occasionally when starting a poll.

Now that she had suddenly said something major was about to happen, anyone would pay attention.

"But Xandar is actually going to undergo some upheaval? Is some planet-destroying weapon incoming?"

"Impossible. If it were super technology on the level of destroying a planet, Lord Kassadin wouldn’t be telling us to stay on the island. He’d be telling us to leave Void Island."

"Then what could it be? Ever since joining the Void, aside from those few legendary figures, I haven’t been afraid of anyone."

"Pay attention. It says to prevent accidents, not that an accident will definitely happen."

"So it means some special situation might arise outside Void Island, and we shouldn’t interfere recklessly when that happens?"

"Lord Kassadin is here anyway. No matter what kind of upheaval it is, there’s no need to worry too much."

The group discussed it frantically, but aside from the initial shock, almost no one was afraid.

This was Void Island, after all—the territory of Great God of the Void Kassadin. Who would dare cause trouble here?

Even a legendary figure like God King Odin would have to keep his head down.

Laboratory Zone.

Banner and Tony had been conducting research, but after seeing the message, both stopped what they were doing.

"Tony, if Xandar is undergoing some upheaval, that means disaster is coming, right?"

"Are we supposed to just stand by and do nothing?"

Banner took a sip of fine wine and spoke.

Although Xandar was not his hometown, watching a disaster unfold without doing anything made Banner feel stifled.

"Since Lord Kassadin said so, he already knows exactly what is causing this upheaval."

"When the time comes, we only need to watch Lord Kassadin’s actions or follow his will."

Tony understood Banner’s thoughts and spoke.

If Harvey said an upheaval was coming, then one was definitely coming. But this time, Harvey had not told them to prepare themselves and deal with it properly.

That meant the main cause of this upheaval was not something suitable for them to intervene in.

Tony had lived on Xandar for several years, and he was extremely satisfied with life there.

He personally did not want Xandar to suffer a great disaster either, but if the enemy or disaster was too powerful and beyond their ability to handle, leaving them helpless, then there was nothing they could do.

Although most Void Cult members were already strong enough to thrive in the universe,

that only meant they had greater ability to protect themselves in any environment or against any disaster. It did not mean they could control everything.

"I know we should follow Lord Kassadin’s instructions."

"But when we know disaster is coming, and we have the ability to help yet do nothing, isn’t that a little…"

Banner trailed off after hearing Tony’s words.

"Mr. Banner, there’s no need to be so anxious."

"Sonia-senpai said, ‘Please do not leave the island without authorization, to prevent any accidents.’"

"The word ‘please’ means leaving the island is not absolutely forbidden. Aside from its rules, the Void Cult does not strictly prohibit people from doing anything."

"They simply do not want us to recklessly get involved and suffer some accident."

"Further instructions may be issued depending on the situation."

"Being able to act after receiving instructions is certainly better than acting on our own."

"And no matter what, we have the great Great God of the Void Kassadin behind us. No disaster, demon, or monster can possibly threaten the Void Cult."

Since Tony and Banner were conducting research and Lalatina had already completed her patrol for the day, she was resting as well.

Seeing how anxious Mr. Banner was, she comforted him in a gentle, calm voice.

"That’s what I think too, so let’s wait and see first."

Tony nodded slightly upon hearing that and spoke.

Tony had a feeling that Harvey might personally take action this time, which was why he had told the others on the island not to act without authorization.

"Alright."

After hearing there was still room for flexibility, the anxiety in Banner’s heart eased.

His ideal after joining the Void was to live freely, which included being able to act whenever he wanted to.

At the appropriate time, Banner felt that, as a powerful person with strength, he still needed to help the weak through certain hardships when he could.

After all, in the face of disaster, countless people had no way to respond. All they could do was wait for death in despair.

It would have been one thing if he did not know, but once he knew, he could not simply stand by. Still, Lalatina and Tony’s words made sense.

Meanwhile, Kyle, Renoli, the Precognitor, and Lacey had gathered together.

"When the time comes, how about Renoli and the Precognitor go check the situation?"

"If it’s truly critical, Renoli, bring the Precognitor back immediately."

"Although I don’t have much goodwill toward Xandar’s military, this is still our hometown."

"If possible, depending on the situation, we should help save some people."

Kyle was also discussing their course of action.

Kyle and Lacey planned to remain on the island on standby, but the Precognitor, with his prophetic advantage, and Renoli, with his supersonic speed,

could enter dangerous areas before the true danger arrived.

Renoli’s top speed had now reached mach 16, allowing him to escape any dangerous area at any time.

The Precognitor had never specifically said how far his foresight could reach, so they did not know.

However, whenever the Precognitor encountered grave danger, the bandages around his body would naturally unravel, giving him enough time to evacuate. Not to mention, he would be acting together with Renoli.

"Lex plans to return. If he’s on the island then, given his personality, he definitely won’t allow anyone to defy Lord Kassadin’s will."

"So we need to leave the island beforehand. It may be exploiting a loophole, but it won’t count as defying Lord Kassadin’s will."

The Precognitor spoke after hearing this.

"That was my thought as well. Lex is good in every way. As long as he acknowledges someone, he treats them especially well."

"His only shortcoming is that his faith is too strong, making him somewhat strict in his actions."

Renoli nodded and spoke after hearing the Precognitor’s words.

"It’s not that bad. Unless something special happens, Lex only stays on the island for two days out of the entire year."

"Besides, he knows better than anyone that Miss Sonia is the administrator of Void Island."

"If someone leaves the island without instructions and defies Lord Kassadin’s will,"

"Lex definitely won’t look pleased, but he’ll only lecture them a little."

"At most, he’ll stop them himself. He won’t hurt anyone."

"And it’s normal for Lex’s faith to be more fanatical. After all, it’s not like you don’t know exactly how Lex joined the Void."

Kyle also said a few words in Lex’s defense.

They had previously gone to Monster Planet with Lex, so they had become much more familiar with one another.

They had also learned that Lord Kassadin had not only saved Mogri, whose god had not appeared for thousands of years, but had generously bestowed a blessing upon Lex.

This allowed Lex, who had been old and nearing the Mogri lifespan limit, to regain his youth.

Furthermore, according to the Mogri believers, even across an unknown distance, many people had received the Void blessing, joined the Void Cult, joined the glorious evolution, and gained the ability to glimpse a new world.

That was why Lex was so passionate about spreading faith in the Void.

"I know. I don’t mean to dislike him. We’re just discussing a way to avoid having him lecture us by example."

The Precognitor spoke after hearing that.

The Void Cult members had deep feelings for one another and regarded each other as brethren.

Although there were small groups formed by people who got along better with each other, there were currently no factions.

"Alright. Let’s inform Miss Sarah and then leave the island."

Renoli nodded.

Although they intended to exploit a loophole, they would do so openly.

If Miss Sonia learned of their plan and still strictly forbade them from doing so, then they would obediently return.

Afterward, Renoli and the Precognitor went to the Records Temple to explain their plan to Sarah.

Naturally, Sarah did not conceal any of these plans and recorded all of them.

Inside Summit Villa.

Sonia saw what Renoli and the Precognitor intended to do.

"Mr. Kassadin, the Precognitor and Renoli plan to observe the situation from outside the island first."

"If it is within their ability to handle, they will offer assistance. If it exceeds their capabilities, they will return."

"Do they need to remain on the island?"

Sonia knew that with the two of them working together, they could remain safe even if a great disaster occurred, but she still asked Lord Kassadin for his opinion.

"If it’s just the two of them, then let them take a look outside the island."

Harvey nodded and granted permission after hearing the names Sonia mentioned.
