Amid the bone-chilling sound of cavities rupturing, blood continued to pour out. Bellamy’s eyelids twitched. The horrifying sensation even made him temporarily forget the itch in his neck and the swelling in his tongue.

Blood also flowed from Bai Cangshu’s nose and mouth. This was perfectly normal. After all, once the heart had been removed, the blood in the vessels was compressed and sprayed out, inevitably rupturing the surrounding cavities.

The world before Bai Cangshu became clearer, not because his eyesight had improved, but because his mind had grown sharper.

Bellamy had no idea what the other man was doing. He only felt that Bai Cangshu was constantly changing the things in his hands as if performing magic. Bellamy had no clue what his ability was, and could only conclude that it was likely some very special Paramecia Type Devil Fruit.

The two left the White District and headed toward the harbor. From far away, Bai Cangshu saw several waves rapidly approaching Skuld Island from the sea.

In the sky, the sound of thunder began to recede, as though Enel were pursuing someone.

Bai Cangshu avoided those Reincarnators. He intended to first go to Mock Town and kill that sniper, then return to deal with the people on the island. Those Reincarnators were too close together, which was unfavorable for his Instant Kill combat method.

"Come on. We’ll find somewhere else to put to sea."

Cindy stared excitedly at the blue-and-white-painted warship far out on the sea.

"Olgins, it’s the Marines!"

"Officer Corey’s reinforcements must be here!"

Olgins was over three meters tall, so he naturally saw more clearly than the little girl. Yet he did not smile. He merely pressed a hand onto her shoulder and said,

"Don’t rush. It looks like they’re preparing to land. We can watch for now."

The island was extremely chaotic today. For some reason, even the coastline that had seemed impossible to breach had been broken through. Many battles were taking place on the island, and that Thunder God seemed to have lost control as well, giving the Marines an opportunity.

But Olgins knew very well that Corey was dead!

He and the others had personally watched Corey transform into a monster among the mountains, only to be reduced to charred ash by lightning.

Those could not possibly be reinforcements sent by Corey…

Cindy glanced at Olgins, knowing that as a pirate, he did not trust the Marines. She patted his calf and said,

"Olgins, it’s okay. At this distance, Cindy can reach that warship by herself!"

"Officer Corey said that as long as we truthfully report what happened on the island, the Marines will definitely save everyone…"

Olgins’s ears twitched. He suddenly heard an unusual sound. Turning around, he saw a masked stranger at the entrance to the town outside the harbor. The man was holding something high overhead.

The townspeople around him had all gathered by his side, letting out unconscious roars.

Olgins suddenly sensed danger. He saw the masked man abruptly turn his head and look at him.

Roar!

Then terrifying roars erupted from the townspeople. Their eyes were bloodshot, dark liquid spilling from their mouths as they viciously charged toward him.

These people usually did not even dare meet his gaze, yet now they dared rush at him.

Olgins’s expression changed.

"Then go, quickly!"

He found a small skiff by the shore and placed Cindy inside. Then he jumped into the shallows and began pushing the skiff forward with all his strength.

Cindy also heard the roars behind her. She turned back and saw everyone from town—the old granny at the village entrance, Uncle Barry who sold candy—all running toward her with crimson eyes.

She felt afraid.

"What… happened to everyone…"

Black Death stood at the village entrance, holding the medicine bottle high with a sly grin on his face.

"Let’s see just how big a storm a virus like Blood Cross can stir up across this sea. Hahaha…"
