This Generation of Netizens Is Too Disappointing

Passing through the Spatial Gate created by Clarice, Richard and the others arrived in the suburbs.

Then, they found an unremarkable coffee shop and sat down.

After ordering three coffees from the waiter, Sabretooth asked Richard:

"How was your father captured?"

After hearing Sabretooth’s question, Richard briefly explained how his original body’s father had been captured and, while he was at it, told him about disbanding Crimson Manor.

After answering Sabretooth’s question, he asked one in return.

"What do you need my father for?"

"I have some personal matters to take care of, and I wanted your father to look after Clarice for a while."

"Looking at it now, that won’t be necessary."

Sabretooth sighed helplessly.

Although Sabretooth did not say what personal matters he had to deal with, Richard did not press him. Instead, he wondered why Sabretooth had not sent Clarice to the School for Mutants.

Not to mention that Wolverine was currently at the School for Mutants.

Even if Wolverine were not there, sending Clarice to the School for Mutants would still have been better than sending her to Crimson Manor.

Crimson Manor was merely a small, obscure organization.

Whether in reputation or strength, it was far inferior to the School for Mutants.

"The School for Mutants is too far away. I’d have to cross the entire United States to get there, and I don’t have that much time."

At that point, Sabretooth paused as a new plan immediately surfaced in his mind.

"Your father was captured, and Crimson Manor was disbanded by you."

"More importantly, you killed people from the Department of Mutant Affairs."

"Although you’re quite capable, you’re still far too weak to contend with the Department of Mutant Affairs…"

Before Sabretooth could finish, Richard interrupted him and frowned.

"You want me to take Clarice to the School for Mutants?"

Sabretooth did not deny it and immediately replied, "You guessed correctly. That is exactly what I was planning."

"Although you and Clarice have not registered and are considered Unregistered Mutants."

"As long as you agree to help me, I guarantee that you’ll be able to join the School for Mutants."

"You know Wolverine from the X-Men, right? He’s my younger brother!"

His half-brother, and one who doesn’t even remember you’re his older brother! Richard complained inwardly.

"Sorry, I have no intention of joining the School for Mutants." Richard shook his head.

Although Professor X, Wolverine, and the others were not bad people, neither the X-Men nor the School for Mutants was suitable for him at the moment.

For someone with the ability "Plunder," hiding in the School for Mutants through the novice phase was not a good choice.

Continuously hunting mutants and plundering superpowers from the mutants he killed with his own hands was the path to power best suited for him.

Although superpowers of the same type had fused and strengthened, he had arrived in this world less than half a day ago and already possessed eight X-Gene Superpowers.

At this rate, it would not be long before his number of superpowers broke through one hundred! "Only by joining the School for Mutants will you have a chance to become an X-Man. Aren’t you interested in the X-Men either?"

Sabretooth continued.

"From this morning until now, I’ve killed eight mutants and twenty Ordinary People."

"An Unregistered Mutant like me would be lucky not to be hunted by the X-Men, let alone join them."

"If you have nothing else, I’ll be taking my leave. It was nice meeting you both. Enjoy yourselves."

After saying that, Richard took out 100 US Dollars from the System Space and placed it on the table.

Then, under Sabretooth and Clarice’s gazes, he stood and left the coffee shop.

After leaving the coffee shop, he repeatedly used Blink until he found a secondhand car dealership that did not require registration information. There, he bought a used Class C RV in reasonably good condition.

After spending some extra money to have the used RV serviced in the dealership’s Maintenance Area, he drove his newly purchased RV away.

After leaving the dealership, he found a supermarket, bought a week’s worth of supplies, and only then drove toward Los Angeles.

Although Los Angeles was his final destination, he had no intention of driving the RV directly into the city.

Before entering the city, he planned to stay at an RV Camp outside town for a few days and properly practice his skills.

With that in mind, he opened the Attribute Panel and checked his current skill proficiency and mana.

Skills: Octaslash (Level 1, 12/100), Earth Shake (Level 1, 3/100), Sky Tremor (Level 1, 0/100), Zanshin (Level 1, 3/100), Iai Slash (Level 1, 0/100), Great Lightning (Level 1, 1/100), Great Blizzard (Level 1, 0/100)
Mana: 23 points
...

Including the practice sessions for Octaslash, he had used Octaslash twelve times, Earth Shake three times, Zanshin three times, and Great Lightning once so far.

Since all those skills were Level 1, each use consumed one point of mana.

Judging only by the number of skill uses, he should have had only eleven points of mana left.

But he currently had twenty-three points of mana.

Expended mana gradually recovered through rest, eating, and other means.

Based on what had happened that morning, it would take only five or six hours for him to fully recover completely depleted mana.

Richard did not know that, while he was driving his newly bought used RV toward the RV Camp, several videos related to him had appeared online.

Not only that, each video had already garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

Although the videos had been filmed from different angles, their contents were exactly the same.

His battle with Inessa and the others had not lasted long.

Even so, quite a few restaurant customers had recorded the scenes of him killing Inessa’s group of three and the Special Forces Members with their phones.

A handsome silver-haired young man wielded a silver-white katana over two meters long, reaping the lives of Mutant Agents and Special Forces Members like the Grim Reaper.

Flashy moves, fierce attacks, and a calm expression! Combined with his handsome appearance and the astonishing length of his katana!

The moment these videos were uploaded, they caused a sensation online.

"Are they filming the latest sci-fi action movie?"

"Silver hair and a silver blade—this look is seriously cool!"

"Does anyone know where this is?"

"This isn’t CGI, right?"

"I can’t even pull off combos this smooth in action games!"

"Who said mutants are all freaks? If all mutants looked like this, I wouldn’t mind if my future boyfriend and husband were mutants."

"It’s been almost half an hour already. Does nobody know who this guy is?"

"This generation of netizens is too disappointing!"

"I strongly demand that future movie male leads be selected according to this standard!"

The netizens watching the videos flooded the comments, pushing the videos’ popularity ever higher as they surged toward one million views.

However, Richard, the star of those videos, not only knew nothing about this, but was also pondering something very important.

Namely, how he could quickly increase the Fusion Degree of the Sephiroth Template.

Although he had plundered quite a few superpowers, the Fusion Degree of his Sephiroth Template was still only 5%.

Compared to the superpowers he had plundered, the power granted by the Sephiroth Template was his most important hole cards.

Department of Mutant Affairs Los Angeles Branch.

The staff members responsible for monitoring online public opinion and information quickly discovered the videos that netizens were frantically discussing.

Without any hesitation, the staff member who found the videos immediately contacted his supervisor.

Before long, the Black Supervisor responsible for managing the Mutant Agents of the Los Angeles Branch received an email from the intelligence supervisor.
