Unleashing the Big Moves

The fifteen Dog Pack members had their fur bristle all over, every hair standing on end as they lowered their heads and bared their fangs.

Ying Yingying had seen what the Dog Pack could do before, and her expression immediately turned grave. There were no lack of capable people among the Reincarnators. Sensing danger approaching, they all raised their weapons and went on guard.

The mages and Taoists in the group either began chanting spells or formed hand seals, while those capable of flight slowly rose into the air. Since they were Reincarnators, despite the impressive visual effects, they were actually all prepared to flee at any moment.

Rumble!

The mountain range shook, and the ground trembled violently. Peaks and cliffs collapsed, forcing the Reincarnators to dodge in every direction.

Winding cracks split open one after another, wisps of white steam rising from within. The surrounding peaks shook with increasing frequency, crystalline rocks flaking away.

Unwilling to trust others, the Reincarnators spread out in small teams. Naturally, Russell stayed with Ying Yingying and the others. The earthquake had come out of nowhere, and there was no enemy in sight. As they dodged falling rocks, they saw the Dog Pack form a circle and bark wildly at the mountains on both sides.

The Dog Pack became exceptionally frantic, their bodily structures mutating as they stood upright on their hind legs and transformed into gigantic Werewolves over ten meters tall on average.

Only then did they notice the anomaly beneath the collapsing mountains. Once the crystals fell away, they revealed the giant beasts hiding inside. These beasts came in all shapes and forms—felines, canines, serpents, birds, and quite a few resembling insects. Every single one was over twenty meters long.

It was not merely their size that had increased. Their appearances were also vastly different from ordinary beasts. Spikes protruded from their backs, sharp bony blades extended from their joints, and their fur resembled steel, reflecting a silvery gleam and radiating a savage, menacing aura.

The air was filled with the stench of blood, and the trembling ground suddenly calmed without warning. Looking around, they saw more than a hundred giant beasts standing motionless. The Reincarnators held their breath, afraid that even breathing too loudly would wake them from their slumber.

At that moment, the atmosphere in the mountains was unnervingly strange, so quiet it made their scalps tingle.

Suddenly, heavy heartbeats echoed out, and pairs of beastly eyes opened. The giant beasts looked down at the Reincarnators, their eyes flooding with intense greed—the desire driven by hunger.

"Roar, roar, roar—"

After a moment of silence, overwhelming hunger drove the giant beasts to begin hunting. Humans were barely large enough to fill the gaps between their teeth, but the beasts did not care. It was as if Tang Monk’s flesh had been laid out before them, and one bite would grant immortality.

Ying Yingying took out the Flying Carpet. Without another word, the group rushed toward the meteor crater. No crystal mountains stood there, so it could barely be considered a safe zone.

"Roar, roar, roar!!!"

Deafening roars came from behind them. The moment the Flying Carpet took off, it was targeted by a giant beast with wings on its back. It had the feathered wings of a bird, but its torso resembled a feline predator. Its long tail whipped through the air, made of segmented horny exoskeleton covered in hooked spikes.

Guan Yin had already put on the Iron Man Suit. Missile launchers emerged from her shoulders, and four miniature missiles shot toward the giant beast’s gaping, roaring maw, exploding into a massive fireball inside its mouth.

Rumble!!

The giant beast shrieked and crashed to the ground. Then four more monstrous birds flapped toward them, their sharp beaks opening to reveal canine fangs.

"Let me handle this. It’s been a long time since I warmed up."

Duan Xinlan clenched her fists and leaped into the air. Sparks flickered, burning into half-meter-long Fire Snakes. Countless fiery serpents gathered into one, coiling into a hundred-meter-long fire dragon. Though formless, it seemed solid as it swam forward to meet them.

After just one clash, the four vicious avian giant beasts burst into flames and fell from the sky as four fireballs.

"They look fierce, but they’re weak inside. These giant beasts aren’t much to fear." Duan Xinlan landed on the Flying Carpet and gave her assessment.

"That may be true, but there are too many of them. Even ants can kill an elephant, let alone creatures that aren’t ants."

Cold sweat trickled down Ying Yingying’s temples. More and more giant flying beasts surged into the sky. A rough count put them well into the triple digits, and this was only the beginning. Many more were still lying on the ground.

As the saying went, the bird that stuck its head out got shot first. After a brief consideration, Ying Yingying lowered the Flying Carpet to the ground. The other Reincarnators who could fly made the same choice, including the two Gundams.

The group raced forward at top speed. Guan Yin fired an Energy Cannon, knocking back a giant python attacking from the side, then found time amid the chaos to ask, "Vice-Captain, do you need me to use my trump card?"

"No. These monsters only have numbers on their side. We can protect ourselves. Wait a little longer—someone else will lose patience first."

The fifteen Werewolves slaughtered their way through the beasts as a group. Russell did not call them over; they were too conspicuous and would easily draw hostility. Better to let them farm monsters and level up while they had the chance, perhaps growing another thirty to fifty meters.

Rumble—

In the distance, large numbers of vicious beasts gradually awakened and began moving toward the Reincarnators, preparing to hunt. There were countless black crystalline mountains throughout the range. One could imagine just how enormous the number of giant beasts was.

In an instant, the tide of giant beasts surged forth. Their charge shook the earth and mountains, their momentum overwhelming and unstoppable as they trampled every obstacle in their path.

The beast horde stretched on without end. Even after running several kilometers, the group could not see its limit. Then the ground began to rumble—it was a disturbance caused by the Reincarnators.

At last, someone could no longer withstand the beast tide and began unleashing their big move!

A meteor wrapped in flames streaked across the sky and descended. When it struck the ground, it crushed dozens of giant beasts to death. Then the burning meteor assembled itself into a humanoid form, charging wildly through the horde and plowing out a path toward the central region.

Black corrosive poisonous mist rose, corroding the surrounding giant beasts into withered skeletons. Specks of green light ignited within their skulls, and the skeletal giant beasts threw back their heads and roared, releasing shrieks that struck directly at the soul.

Golden palm force layered upon layer, blanketing the heavens and pressing in every direction. Its power was so immense it left people speechless. The giant beasts died on contact and were injured by mere glancing blows; none could withstand a single exchange.

A fifty-meter-long Frost Dragon soared into the sky on beating wings, scattering freezing air everywhere. The surrounding giant birds swarmed it, only to be frozen into ice sculptures by the icy dragon breath it spewed from its mouth.

Sword qi shot into the heavens as more than a hundred Flying Swords swept down through the air, forming a massive sword formation that slaughtered everything in its path, leaving mountains of corpses and rivers of blood behind.

Then there was the Mecha Zord Russell had seen before. The seventy-meter-tall giant robot possessed explosive combat power, wielding its longsword as it slaughtered in every direction. Compared to it, the surrounding giant beasts seemed much shorter, giving off the impression of kicking a kindergarten in the North Sea.

"Damn, there are so many experts. Let’s just pick one and follow them." Ying Yingying released the Flying Carpet and chose to trail the Frost Dragon, since it was the fastest.

"Too many experts isn’t a good thing. It means the main god will raise the difficulty. The outer area is already this intense, so the central region must be even more dangerous." Russell looked down and confirmed that his fifteen Dog Pack members were safe and sound, which eased his mind somewhat.

"Just say it. How many Reward Points will it take to make you quietly be a handsome man?"
